Makenna fell in love with the arts early in her life, attending various workshops, camps, and classes starting at the age of six. She continued to create throughout her education - improving her skills in drawing, oil painting, and portraiture.
In her time at Fordham University, she branched out into the world of digital art, design, and marketing - applying her traditional art skills to the digital sphere. At Fordham, she learned the ins and outs of graphic design, creative coding, video game design, and the various programs that come with it all, including: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Figma, and Unity. She applied her newfound skills interning as a graphic designer and social media manager with Glass River Media.
Currently, Makenna is a full-time graphic designer in NYC. She has spent the past three years working with KCSA, where she has dabbled in both graphic design and social media for client and internal requests. She has experience working on projects for iHeartMedia, RMA NY, KindlyMD, Firefly Neuroscience, Newlake Capital Partners, and a variety of other clients. With KCSA, she also had the opportunity to independently design and animate two NASDAQ billboards in Times Square for client debuts on the American stock exchange.
Makenna also works for a range of other personal clients - most notably Snapchat - where she has delivered logos, illustrations, and graphic print work for various events.
In her free time, she enjoys running, drawing, painting, visiting museums, testing her gluten-free baking skills, frolicking in the park, and playing with her two cats Evie and Apollo.
